Machining round bars in grade 1.4305 stand out with many advantages, making them a popular product in various industrial fields. They are characterized mainly by universal application and high machining quality.

They are available in a dimensional range from 3 mm to 200 mm diameter. Of course, you can also find bars whose diameter exceeds this range. However, they are not so commonly available.

What are the types and applications of stainless round bars?

 

Stainless round bars are available in our offer in the following finishes:

  • rolled bars – with a diameter up to 150 mm. They are usually made with a positive dimensional tolerance. The bar therefore has an actual diameter equal to or greater than the nominal one.
  • drawn bars – with a diameter from 3 mm to 30 mm. Made with negative dimensional tolerance h9. They therefore have an actual diameter that is equal to or less than the nominal one.
  • forged bars – with a diameter above 150 mm. They are made with positive dimensional tolerance.

 

In addition, stainless machining bars are available in many grades. Definitely the best choice will be bars 1.4305, 1.4301, and 1.4404. Moreover, bars intended for CNC machining can be made with chamfered ends. This is a requirement that applies primarily to bars in grade 1.4305 used for mechanical processing.
